Elizabeth “Elizzy” Knight, VP of the Colorado Hemp Company and Co-producer of the NoCo Hemp Expo, has a passion for plant-based medicines. Studying holistic nursing, with a focus on aromatherapy, her mission for healing the planet and its people was expanded through cannabis.
After a 20-year sales and project management career with an influential architectural and engineering software firm, she took a leap into the exciting world of hemp! With the passing of Colorado Amendment 64 in 2012, Elizzy and her partner Morris Beegle formed the Colorado Hemp Company.
The first NoCo Hemp Expo was created in 2014 to educate people about the many benefits of hemp. With continuous growth year-after-year, CoHempCo has been coined the “super-connector” and continues to bring people together from all over the world to speak on the hemp education stage.
Being an activist for cannabis and ending its prohibition, she has made a loyal commitment to the tasks ahead and to encourage the use of more sustainable, regenerative and natural hemp-based products.
WAFBA, LLC (We Are for Better Alternatives) is the mothership of CoHempCo, NoCo Hemp Expo, TreeFreeHemp, the Southern Hemp Expo and the NoCo Hemp Village at Arise Music Festival.
Constantly chasing the sun, Elizzy recently started the Sun Chaser Farm, a solar-powered hemp farm, which is now the home of Colorado Hemp Company.
